Based in Taiwan, KDAN is a global software solutions powerhouse specializing in productivity and creative tools. KDAN's apps are redefining how people get things done digitally — think of them as the Swiss Army knife of creative and productivity software. The company was founded by Kenny Su in 2009.

Our founder & CEO, Vlad Shvets, was at the right place at the right time when he met Kenny through a mutual connection in Taiwan. As the person behind Vectr's rise from zero to 0.5 million users and 100K monthly organic traffic within a year, Vlad brought that same playbook to KDAN. When you've already done it once in the exact same niche, the second time feels less like guesswork and more like muscle memory.
Since then, KDAN has grown from a cozy team of 30 to a 300-person operation worldwide and has launched 13 products, including KDAN PDF Reader, DottedSign, and Animation Desk. That's roughly one new product per year, for anyone keeping score.
Empact Challenge
KDAN had its sights set on international markets, which meant we needed tailored strategies to:
KDAN was rocking user acquisitions on the app stores but floundering when it came to organic website traffic. They needed a killer strategy to attract international users organically through search engines and other online channels.
Empact Roadmap
We put together a bold inbound marketing strategy to take KDAN to the next level. Within two years, we achieved a 200% increase in monthly organic website traffic (from 30K to 90K+) and doubled their blog's monthly organic traffic. Here's how we did it.
Thought Leadership
We turned KDAN's team into Quora celebrities — because apparently, thoughtfully answering strangers' questions on the internet is a viable growth strategy. Millions of views and about 2K views per month followed.
This was very different in 2018. Our strategy was to create truly helpful answers, published on the accounts of KDAN's team members. And the results were astonishing: millions of views, and tens of thousands of downloads & purchases for KDAN.
Localization
To expand KDAN's organic reach globally, we helped them localize their website and blog into multiple languages, including Japanese — where KDAN has historically had a very strong position. This localization effort helped KDAN grow their traffic and generate more revenue from its website and content.

DottedSign Launch
We were there when KDAN launched its flagship product DottedSign under its own separate brand and domain. We built the DottedSign blog from scratch, and in three years grew its traffic from zero to 80K monthly. Now, DottedSign is trusted by 4K enterprise partners and over 1 million users across industries.

KDAN's journey has been nothing short of epic, and we're proud to still be a part of it — five years and counting.
